Frea

6in x 6in

Frea is a beautiful, well behaved adult Rottweiler from Southern Pines, NC. This pet portrait was a gift for a hard working member of the Special Forces. Due to his high demanding job he is out of the country for long periods of time. Not being able to take his loyal pup, a small, packable portrait is a perfect way to take her with him

Shih Tsu

6in x 6in

This adorable Shih Tsu was commisioned as a gift for a hard working employee in Charlotte, NC. Unfortunately the owner lost this pup recently in a terrible accident so it was really important for me to capture her essence. Again, because of the situation, good photographs were hard to come by. But because of the close composition it came out looking great.

Gracie

6in x 6in
Gracie, a golden retriever, is an amazing dog that has a ton of personality. She lives happily with her mom in Santa Fe, NM. On the smaller dog portraits, I like to get a real close composition that leaves no background. It makes for a great portrait you can hang or leave on a shelf. Gracie's owner has it in her office so that her baby girl is with her wherever she goes. And because these are so small I can paint a dog portrait like Gracie in three hours making it very affordable at $60 each.

French Bulldogs

Custom works 10in x 10in and
15in x 10in
These two french bulldog portraits were so much fun to paint. A friend of mine in Charlotte, NC got them for his parents for Christmas. They are meant to be hung together or close together which is why they share similar colors and are cohesive. Again he emailed me wonderful, close up, high resolution pictures of them both. The better the dog photographs the better the dog portrait.

Emma

20in x 20in

Emma is a sweet mixed breed that is very difficult to photograph. Luckily the owner had a lot of pictures that I was able to "Frankenstein" together. That is when I take bits and pieces from many photos to make a perfect portrait. She wanted Emma's feet to the side with one ear up and one ear down. It made for a great composition and a very satisfied client. It also led to an opportunity to work with the Children's Museum of Atlanta. I love my friends! Always looking out for me. The owner gave this dog portrait as a Christmas gift to her now fiance where it currently resides in Atlanta, GA.

Olive

16in x 20in

Olive is a pure bred yellow Labrador Retriever with a lot of spunk. She a fun pet to photograph and even more fun to paint. Her owners live here in Charlotte, NC in the artsy NoDa neighborhood. It was a Christmas gift from a loving boyfriend to his sweet girlfriend. Here is what she had to say after opening her gift
"I'm ABSOLUTELY obsessed, Kasey, Seriously. If I was a crier, I would have cried. I don't know if Bryan told you, but Olive is my doggie soulmate and your work so perfectly captures everything that is my precious little girl, I couldn't have ever imagined anyone could paint anything so perfect. Thank you, thank you, THANK you. "
