Dagwood

Dagwood was commissioned by my aunt as a Christmas gift for her sister in law in Carmel, IN. Dagwood, a Chesapeake Bay Retriever, was one of four dogs that belonged to the recipient's family. The others were Blondie (Dagwood's sister), Mickie, and Gunnar (Mickie's brother). At the time it was commissioned, all of the dogs had passed away which made it a little difficult to find good pictures. All four pet portraits were painted to hang together but they also look great hung separately.

Jesse is a full bred black Labrador Retriever who lives with his owner on a movie ranch in Santa Fe, NM (lucky dog). This dog portrait was a gift to the owner from a lifelong friend.

Sadi

Sadie is a mystery mutt that lives with her owner's in Charleston, SC. This dog portrait was commissioned as a wedding present with very specific instructions. The patron explained that Sadie had very specific habits that she wanted portrayed. First, she wanted one of her ears to be inside out. She also wanted her in a seated position with her back legs sticking out and her name showing on her dog tags. It's a very custom dog portrait for a very special dog.

Aisa

Aisa is a black lab mix who lives with her owners in Noblesville, IN. The dog portrait was a birthday gift to the patron's then boyfriend. The couple has since been married where they live happily with Aisa and her portrait.

Gaston

Gaston is a rescue mutt from Gastonia, NC, hence his name:) Gaston's mom and dad are great friends of my parents and calling them animal lover's would be a huge understatement. Gaston has a wonderful personality and has been known to be called "the best dog ever". I painted him in a familiar pose which I call "the begging pose" because it appears in the perspective of the viewer looking down at the dog.
